Welcome Home

Mannix Point Caravan & Camping Park is a peaceful, family-run campsite on the beautiful south-west coast of Ireland. Set on 500 metres of waterfront at the edge of Europe, the park enjoys a spectacular location surrounded by hills and mountains, with views across the Atlantic to Valentia Island and Beginish Island.

Opened in 1984 by the late Mortimer Moriarty, Mannix Point began as a small and simple camping park. Today, it continues to be run by his family, with the same warm welcome, relaxed atmosphere, and love of camping at its heart.

Mannix Point has been described by respected travel guides as “one of the best campsites in Ireland,” “one of our best addresses,” and “a nature lover’s paradise.” Over the years, it has also received fifteen national and international awards, including the Award of Excellence and Best Welcome in Europe.

The campsite offers a full range of facilities for tents, caravans, campervans, walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers. Cleanliness and comfort are a priority, with hot showers, laundry facilities, washing-up areas with continuous hot water, and a welcoming campers’ kitchen.

Legendary Music Sessions

One of the highlights of Mannix Point is the Campers’ Sitting Room. Impromptu music sessions are part and parcel of this place. They may or may not happen at any time. It can be up to you but you are almost certain of a great session during the last two weeks in July and the first two weeks in August. If you can play or sing or dance or whatever, come and join in.
